Winter Choose to Heel Camp 2006

Except for Mother Nature showing her stuff, Winter Camp went off with out a hitch.
We had a hail storm on Weds. which almost took down the 30'x40'canvas cover behind the training bldg. On Friday morning a wind storm, with 60 Miles per hr. winds & record cold, that  took out the phone, power & heat. The storm  blew over a 60' fir tree, with roots & all, fortunately it fell away from the training Bldg.  The power , phone & heat came on at 6AM the morning of the seminar, by then we had the generator going & all the cables run.

Letter To Choose To Heel

Dear Dawn,

You probably don't remember me but about two years ago I came to you for lessons with a couple of my friends with a 6 mos. old aussie (homely little dog).  We were three hours away so it was a full days trip to come to your facility.
I wanted you to know that your kindness towards me and my little dog made a huge impact on our lives. I was so green at the time training him.  I took the information you taught me home and it really worked.  The bond I have with this aussie is incredible.  He is 2 1/2 yrs. now and we just got our CDX.  Our score on his last leg was a 195.  He is not the most perfect little dog but because of the basics you gave me he has an incredible work ethic!!!!  I am so proud of him.
Thank you so much for your kindness, patience and wonderful training.

Gratefully,
Penny & Ruger CDX
