CHOOSE-TO-HEEL on TOUR in 2005!!!!

OBEDIENCE..AGILITY..RALLY..
MUSICAL FREESTYLE..SERVICE DOG TRAINING..even spectator friendly barkless FLYBALL!!

We are planning our next road trip through California and Nevada & points unknown in Sept 2005. If you or your club has been considering a workshop or seminar with Dawn, contact us for dates and possibilities...

If you are interested in a Choose To Heel event... no matter how small or how well financed your organization might be, contact us for some innovative ideas that can make it work for you!

We also do small workshops & private lessons along the way to our seminars since we always travel by RV...

Our seminars have been very well received by the dog fancy.  The program is based on leadership skills, pack philosophy, positive motivation, proofing challenges, and food rewards. The reverse-theory of Choose To Heel is not a new concept just being tested in public but a complete step by step advanced dog obedience training program that has been proven and successfully used for many years. This may be the most different seminar that you have ever seen.

FOR LARGER GROUPS...

A seminar conducted by Dawn includes demonstrations by Dawn with her dogs as well as her student(s) and their dogs. Lucky, Dawn's husband is very important to the operation…setting up all the electronics…sound system, etc.…and monitoring all the audio and video during the seminar weekend. *Exceptions are: Convention centers that have their own sound and video systems..

Often, Dawn will select seminar participants to be included in demonstrations as well. Each portion of the seminar information will be demonstrated live…..questions are encouraged…..the atmosphere will be casual and friendly.

Interesting and educational short video clips, accompanied by music, will be shown throughout the seminar weekend on TV monitors.

Although Dawn's seminars are not considered to be working seminars, in most cases, Dawn wants folks to be able to have their well behaved, quiet dogs with them. Final decisions on seminar participants dogs will depend on the club/organization sponsoring the seminar.

Choose To Heel is a federally licensed trade name and the trademark must be displayed at least once in the heading of all advertising to be distributed by sponsoring clubs/organizations.  Dawn is willing to supply her own Choose To Heel logo for advertising her upcoming events.

                        Seminar Specifics  (Full Size) ...

Dawn and Lucky will provide their own sound/speaker system and set up for electronics
(if not available through hotel or convention center).  This will include a cordless microphone for Dawn and a hand held microphone for other seminar announcements, etc. Training equipment (jumps, etc.) will also be provided.

Needs for the Larger Seminars...

Adequate indoor facility (ideal working space 40'x50' gated or fenced) with a good, matted jumping surface. Dawn likes to have the audience all in front for most efficient presentation of demonstrations.

Two- (2) large portable color TV's with stands, suitable for video monitoring.  Depending on seminar size, more may be necessary. Lucky (Dawn's husband) will handle the electronics set-up.

General Seminar Pricing Info...

Because of the unusual nature of Dawn's seminars…multiple people and dogs involved in the program…traveling by ground, etc. breaking down the expenses for a Choose To Heel seminar can by very complicated.
For simplicity, Dawn charges a flat fee for each day of seminar presentation…usually an eight hour format...this includes travel and accommodations for Dawn and her assistant(s)

Smaller organizations and non-profit organizations may inquire about a percentage rate. We will make every effort to work with organizations/clubs to be sure that your Choose To Heel Seminar is not only successful but profitable to you as well. So far, all sponsored CTH events have been profitable.

For the larger seminars...A 10% deposit is required thirty (30) days before the seminar date.  Balance of the seminar fee can be paid at the end of the seminar.

Dawns' private lessons accompanying a seminar are usually $35.00 for approximately ½ hour... and may vary depending upon facility costs.. (Fees for building/location, club percentage etc. must be added to the lesson price).

Mini workshop/clinics with/without dogs or combinations of lessons and clinic are also possible.

Besides showcasing the   innovative Choose To Heel program and Obedience for competition/titles, this format has also been successfully used to conduct musical freestyle, service/seizure alert dog, fly ball, and agility presentations.

Dawn is known to be quite flexible and will work with clubs & individuals to customize your event to fit your needs...and pocketbook..
